Research Interests


I have done my undergraduate and graduate work at Science University of Tokyo under Prof. Tsuda's supervision, where I received my Ph.D. in 1992. After that, I joined the faculty staff as a research assistant of Prof. Kaeko's laboratory in 1992.

I am interested in the transport properties of oxides, the crystal growth of high-Tc superconductors, and the growth mechanism of semiconducting thin films by using the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. Especially I have been exploring the pairing mechanism of high-Tc superconductors by performing the tunneling study. Because it probes the quasiparticle density of states near Fermi energy, it will provide some important results, such as the superconducting energy gap, the symmetry of the order parameter, and the origin of the attractive interaction between electrons.
