- Ifm not very good at sport. Can I still take physical education classes?
- Programs and supervision are tailored to suit the athletic ability of the individuals, so you will be all right. As the basic goal is to provide you students with a platform for engaging in sporting activities for the rest of your lives, the main goal of these classes is supposed to give you the know-hows to enjoy sports.
- Is it possible to do sports outside PE classes?
- There is a gymnasium and training room in Building No. 5, which are freely available for use when not used in classes. If you wish to book the gymnasium for club activity use, please submit a booking form to the Gym Office (Room 314, B3, Building No. 5). The training room may be used according to the training space timetable, and sports equipment can be picked up from the Gym Office. Please visit the Gym Office if you wish to use any of the facilities for sport or exercise.
- What do physical education theory and health theory classes cover?
- While the specific content varies depending on the teacher in charge, physical education theory looks at sports and related issues from physical and social perspectives, along with methods of sporting practice, while health theory teaches the significance of health and health promotion.
- Who teaches health and physical education?
- The Faculty of Science has a total teaching staff of 12, consisting of four full-time staff, three former staff hired on short-term contracts, four full-time staff from other faculties, and one part-time lecturer.

The Department of Liberal Arts offers classes in Physical Education, Health and Sports Science, and Health Science. Although not compulsory (unless you want to obtain a teaching license), we hope that you will actively take part in these classes to raise your skills of sports and develop your health and fitness.
Joining an extracurricular sports club is an excellent way of getting fit, developing sporting skills, and making friendships that will last a lifetime, and we encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to do these activities while at TUS.
